From Military Moves to Marketing Moxie
Growing up as a military brat, I mastered the fine art of cardboard-box Tetris before I could ride a bike. With my dad in the Air Force, our family moved more often than a traveling circus. Scraped knees? Check. A knack for finding the best pizza joints in new towns? Double-check. Extraordinary? Not quite—but who needs extraordinary when you’ve got an uncanny ability to assemble IKEA furniture in record time?
As the youngest sibling, I had a front-row seat to my brother and sister’s journey into adulthood. When they left, I discovered the bittersweet side of sibling rivalry—missing it. Who knew I’d long for squabbles over remote control supremacy? To fill the void, I worked after school, hung out with equally bored friends, and mentally prepared for the grand adventure: moving out myself.
Fast-forward to 18, and I joined the military, where the packing-and-moving cycle continued. It felt like home—but with uniforms and PT at ungodly hours. Life hummed along in a rhythm of deployments, duty stations, and (ahem) a couple of divorces. Let’s just say I’m invoking my right to remain silent on those.
Parenthood, Pets, and Plot Twists
Being a dad brought new levels of joy—and challenges. My son could annihilate me in video games with the finesse of a Jedi. Every defeat? Priceless. My daughter, with her unrelenting love of animals, convinced me to adopt not one, but two cats. (Pro tip: shelter policies about sibling cats? Total scam.) Spoiler alert: when kids grow up and move out, they leave the cats behind.
From Dreaming to Doing
With my kids off chasing their dreams and me left with two feline freeloaders, I decided it was time to chase my own dream—starting an online business. My qualifications? Turning on a computer and checking emails. Yep, I was ready to conquer the digital world... after a few courses. Okay, a lot of courses. Fine—$50,000 worth of courses. Along the way, I realized I knew more than some of the so-called "gurus" and that maybe, just maybe, it was time to stop learning and start doing.
Building a Business Without the BS
One thing became crystal clear: the online marketing world is a jungle, and not everyone plays fair. Some marketers dangle shiny objects just to sell you the next shiny object, stringing dreamers along without delivering real value. Gross, right? I vowed to do things differently. No gimmicks, no fluff—just real tools, real strategies, and real results.
My Mission: Save You Time, Money, and Sanity
I’ve tried just about every tool out there to automate and grow an online business. I’ve made the mistakes, wrestled with clunky software, and switched platforms more times than I care to admit. Now, I help others skip the headaches by recommending tools that actually work—tools I’ve tested and trust. Because who wants to leave their 9-to-5 grind only to end up working 9-to-9 on their own business? Nobody, that’s who.
So, whether you’re starting your first venture or trying to level up your existing business, I’m here to help you find the right tools, strategies, and automation to make your life easier. And if you’re stuck or unsure, just reach out—no judgment, just solutions.
To your future online empire (and fewer cat-induced keyboard disasters),
Gary
